Reservation Policy

Camping Reservation Policy


Before making a reservation through our online reservation system or by phone at 1-877-558-GRCA (4722), please familiarize yourself with the following:

  • All camping reservations require the signature of a person 18 years of age or older at the time the permit is issued. The person signing the permit must occupy the site.

  • All reservations (serviced or unserviced campsite) require the payment of a non-refundable reservation fee.

  • All camping reservations (serviced or unserviced campsite) require full payment of the "Camping Fee" for the entire duration of stay, PLUS the non-refundable reservation fee, at time that reservation is made.

  • In case of multiple reservations for the same time period, each campsite must be registered under the name of the actual occupant.

  • Any changes to reservation dates, change of campsite, or cancellation requires the payment of a cancellation fee.

  • Alcohol bans: A total alcohol ban will be in effect throughout the season at Elora Gorge Conservation Area for the entire season. A total alcohol ban will be in place at Guelph Lake, Byng Island and Laurel Creek conservation areas from the start of the Victoria Day weekend until the third Sunday in June. At all campgrounds, there will be a total alcohol ban in effect during the Victoria Day weekend and the Labour Day weekend.

Camping restrictions

Your campsite fee entitles you to the following:

  • One picnic table per site


  • Parking for one vehicle per site (a second vehicle per site is allowed for an additional fee)


  • One fire pit per site


  • Three tents per site, but only two can be sleeping units (or only one trailer per site)


  • A maximum of six people per site

If any maximum is exceeded, another site is required.

Unserviced & Serviced Campsites

  • Reservations will be held until 12:00 NOON on the day following the date of arrival; if camper fails to honour the reservation, the reservation will automatically be cancelled and payment of "Camping Fee" will be forfeited.


  • Reservations may be cancelled up until 11:00 P.M. on the day before arrival; the "Camping Fee" will be refunded in full, however the cancellation fee of $8 will apply at time of cancellation


  • Check in cannot be guaranteed until 2:00 p.m. on arrival date.


  • Campsite must be vacated by 12:00 noon on departure date.


  • Three (3) pieces of equipment allowed on campsite; including 1 piece of equipment with wheels (camper or trailer) and dining shelter -- Maximum two (2) sleeping units -- Maximum 6 persons per site.


  • Tents must be set up on tent pad if available on site.


  • Rockwood: All tents must be set up on tent pads.


  • Pinehurst: All trailers to be set up on gravel drive if available on site.

  • Brant - Campsites 238 to 268
  • Pinehurst Lake - All sites
  • Rockwood - Campsites 175 to 199
  • Byng Island - Campsites 301 to 331, 605
  • Laurel Creek - Campsites 401 to 425
  • Guelph Lake - Campsites 268 to 294, 305 to 312, 402 to 414
  • Conestogo Lake - 153 to 166, 402 to 414

Elora Gorge:

"WARNING!! DEEP GORGE! STAY BACK FROM EDGE!" -- as the name implies, a deep gorge runs through the Elora Gorge Conservation Area. Please exercise caution during your stay in the Conservation Area.

**ATTENTION TUBERS: All river related activities require safety helmets & life jackets. All tubers must register and purchase wristband. Please see Tubing The Elora Gorge for more information

Tubing may be prohibited during periods of high river flow; please call Elora Gorge Office (519-846-9742) for current conditions.
