Group Facilities

Group Facilities

Island Pavilion, Guelph Lake Conservation areas are popular spots for group events such as weddings, company picnics, family reunions and birthday parties. They also offer a unique location for meetings and seminars.

What follows is a listing of the facilities in our conservation areas that are available for special events. Many need to be reserved well in advance.

These facilities fall into three categories:

Large pavilions and special facilities: Many of our properties are unique and include those that are totally enclosed and available in three seasons, such as the Hampton Barn at Belwood Lake, as well as the pavilions that can accommodate more than 100 people.

Tip: scroll down the page for a detailed chart showing all group rental facilities. Click on the facility name for a photo and more information.

Small pavilions and shelters: These have a roof for protection in bad weather and room for picnic tables inside and are ideal for family reunions and corporate picnics.

Picnic areas: These do not have a roof, but can be reserved for family and group picnics and special events.

How to book: Please call the conservation areas directly.

Please note that the capacity limits in our chart are a guideline to help you plan your event. Larger crowds can be accommodated in many locations, as more picnic tables can be set up. For further details, please contact the conservation areas directly.

In addition to the fees listed below, there is an additional reservation fee for each facility. Click here for the complete conservation area fee schedule. Large barbeques are available at many locations, but not all.

Reduced Group rates: Groups of 50 or more can get a reduced conservation area entry rate when arrangements are made at the time of booking. Children five and under are free.

Notes: Children's birthday parties and groups such as Guides and Scouts can access programs at our nature centres. For information on group camping, please contact the conservation area you're planning to visit. Group sites must be booked with the park directly and cannot be booked online.
