Group camping:
Many of our conservation areas offer group camping sites. Please call the conservation area directly to book group sites.

Hiking:
There are trails throughout GRCA conservation areas. In addition, the GRCA owns four former rail corridors that have been converted to trails.

Fishing:
GRCA reservoirs and the Grand River contain an astonishing diversity of fish. Click here for more information on fishing the Grand River watershed.

Canoeing/kayaking:

Note there is no camping at Belwood Lake,
Luther Marsh, Shade's Mills and Elora Quarry.
 

The GRCA offers unparalleled camping experiences at eight of twelve conservation areas. Experience the best the Grand River watershed has to offer!

Campsites are available on a daily, monthly or seasonal basis. Reserving ahead is a good idea for holiday weekends or for your camping vacation. At some areas there are premium riverside campsites and radio-free campsites. Parks are open from about May 1 to Thanksgiving. Pools at Byng Island and Brant Park open in mid-June.

There is NO beach patrol at GRCA conservation areas. Children are the responsibility of the parents/guardians/adults.

Alcohol is permitted only on registered campsites, except during the total alcohol ban on Victoria Day and Labour Day weekends. Alcohol is not permitted at our day-use parks or at Elora Gorge Conservation Area.
