All GRCA nature centres are currently closed to the public. Most of our public outdoor environmental community programs (including day camps, birthday parties, youth programs, Scout and Guide badge programs) remain suspended, and events have been cancelled. When new information is available, this page will be updated. Please subscribe to this page for program updates.
School programming is currently underway with limited school boards. It is being offered in a modified and/or virtual setting.
For more information about the impact of COVID-19 to GRCA programs and services, please refer our COVID-19 FAQ.
In the interim, our nature centre staff have put together a fantastic list of activities for those who are missing our in-person program offerings.
The Guelph Lake Nature Centre near Guelph offers a variety of programs for schools, families, youth and community groups to get outdoors and connect with nature.
Our unique, hands-on programs teach environmental concepts and foster an appreciation of nature.
The Guelph Lake Nature Centre is part of the 1608-hectare (3,971-acre) property of the Guelph Lake Conservation Area. The centre overlooks Guelph Lake and the Guelph Lake Dam. The lake and dam, the Speed River, open fields and a nearby forest provide a diversity of habitats for learning about the natural world.
More than 600,000 students have visited the Centre and outdoor programs are in demand for people of all ages! Help us build a new nature centre within Guelph Lake Park by donating to Nature at Your Doorstep - Campaign for the Guelph Lake Nature Centre.
