GRCA Flood Message #2 – Flood Warning/Watch Termination
The Grand River Conservation Authority (GRCA) is terminating the combined Flood Warning and Flood Watch issued on April 15, 2026.
GRCA Reservoirs
The GRCA’s multi-purpose reservoirs were operated to reduce downstream flooding during this event. Stored water is gradually being released to return reservoirs to their normal level for this time of year.
Stay safe
Higher flows will increase the safety risk around rivers, streams, and waterbodies throughout the watershed. Banks adjacent to local waterways are very slippery and, when combined with cold, fast-moving water, pose a serious hazard. Families are advised to keep children and pets away from all water bodies. The public is encouraged to exercise extreme caution around local waterways.
River conditions and forecasts are being monitored closely.
