The centre of attention is the 0.8 ha (two acre) limestone quarry encircled by sheer cliffs up to 12 metres (40 feet) high. The tree-covered conservation area has places to picnic and enjoying nature.

Swimming |
A large beach area offers easy access to the water and a sandy area for children and sunbathers.

Hiking |
The conservation area has a one kilometre loop trail that meanders through cedar forests and, in spots, overlooks the Grand River. The Elora Cataract Trailway, a 47 kilometre trail linking the Grand and Credit river watersheds, is minutes away from the conservation area. |
Picnicking |
There are shaded areas for picnics and a few tables available on a first-come, first-served basis. No covered shelters are available. Visitors are reminded that conditions remain very dry. Day-use visitors may use barbecues for cooking purposes in designated picnic areas. Never leave barbecues unattended, and please use extreme caution. |

The gatehouse is the place to go to get further information about the conservation area and report any problems or concerns |
Washrooms |
There are two concrete vault-type washrooms. There is also a small change room. |
Dog policy |
Dogs are not allowed in the conservation area. |
