The 2023 Haldimand Children's Water Festival will run May 24-25, 2023. Registration (via Eventbrite) is now open.
Interactive activity centres
The Haldimand Children's Water Festival offers hands-on, interactive learning centres that provide students with an opportunity to splash their way to a better understanding of the importance of our most valuable resource -- water.
- With a greater appreciation for water, it is hoped that students will be motivated to become water stewards in their classroom and community.
- Each activity centre has been developed to complement Ontario Curriculum learning expectations. Each centre is designed to engage students and promote a specific message that is relevant and easily identified by students. Students learn about water
- Activities are approximately 10 minutes in length. Students will be encouraged to hypothesize and answer questions. Presenters will have students participate by assisting with experiments and presentations.
- If you are interested in obtaining a list of activity centres and their description, please contact Festival Coordinator, Sue Brocklebank, at 519-621-2761 ext. 2278 or 1-866-900-4722 or by email.
