Our conservation lands are set aside for passive uses such as hiking, bird watching, photography, and similar activities.
In many cases, these important lands offer habitat to a wide range of bird, plant and animal species.
These lands have no entrance fees and no staff members are on site. Services are limited and may include only a parking lot, garbage containers and information signs.
These areas are supported, in part, through donations to the Grand River Conservation Foundation.
Please be advised that these properties are not maintained in the winter season.
We also operate 12 paid-admission areas, called Grand River Conservation Areas, that offer a broad range of recreational activities including camping, swimming, paddling, fishing and more.
