The Puslinch Tract property in the Township of Puslinch will be temporarily closed on January 18, 19 and 20th in order to undertake hazard tree maintenance throughout the property.
Trail closure signs will be posted at all entrances to the property and access will not be permitted. Members of the public are asked to avoid the area while the work is underway and to obey all posted signage so that crews may complete the work safely. For more information, check the news release.
Work in the conifer plantations around the Damascus Reservoir, located near Wellington County Road 16, will begin in early November. This will result in temporary trail and area closures. It is anticipated that during closures some portions of the property’s main trail system will remain accessible to the public. The project is expected to take six to eight weeks to complete, but may continue until mid-January 2021. Please obey all posted signage. For more information, check the news release.
The ruins of the Harris & Co. Rockwood Woolen Mill remain closed due to potential safety concerns.
Due to weather events in 2017 and 2018, the low level bridge at Elora Gorge Park was damaged by high water flows and is closed and will remain closed in 2020. The GRCA is investigating next steps in order to repair the bridge, which is used by campers and visitors to access the north side of the park.
