The GRCF and the GRCA work together to identify priority projects that would otherwise not happen without the support of generous donations from the community.
After more than 30 years, the current Guelph Lake Nature Centre building has seen better days. Over the years, approximately 600,000 students have visited the centre and benifitted from the GRCA's quality outdoor education programming. The new nature centre will be relocated within Guelph Lake Conservation Area, and we are grateful to all of the donors who have contributed to its revitalization to date. It doesn't take a grand investment to make a Grand gesture. A donation of $30 or more will support trees and trails within the Grand River watershed and help maintain our greatest natural assets. Discover how you can donate to support trees and trails.
Every year about 50,000 young people visit the GRCA's Nature Centres. For some, it's their first time cooking a hot dog, seeing what lives in the woods or discovering the comfort of being surrounded by nature. Donors play a big role in enabling as many kids as possible to have these hands-on experiences that shape their relationship for a lifetime. Donate to help kids get outside!
Located between Cambridge and Paris, the trails at Dickson Wilderness Area have been an area favourite to enjoy a hike, feed the chickadees and enjoy beautiful scenery. The four-kilometer loop is available at no cost. Learn more about the Dickson Wilderness Area trails.
