The low-level bridge at Elora Gorge Conservation Area is completely closed to all access, including pedestrian crossing. Construction crews have begun remediation work on the bridge and river. This closure will remain in effect until the end of the season. We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your understanding as we work to improve the safety and functionality of this infrastructure.

Please be advised that GRCA will be applying herbicides at Chesney Wilderness Area on Friday July 26th, 2024, to control invasive plants according to the Pesticides Act and Ontario Regulation 63/09 under the forestry exception. Herbicides used will include RoundUp Transorb (Registration #28198, with Active Ingredient: Glyphosate) and GarlonRTU (Registration #29334, with Active Ingredient: triclopyr). The property will be CLOSED to the public for the day while the work is being completed. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we work to improve the health of our watershed.
The Willows Campground has partially reopened as of Thursday, July 18, 2024. Currently, 17 campsites in Willows Campground remain closed for another week, at which time, staff will reassess the condition of these campsites. We aim to reopen all affected campsites on August 1, 2024, should site conditions improve and allow for occupancy.
